Big Shot Adventures was founded in 2007 by Sanjeev & Dheeraj, who have lived in Corbett for many years, so developing a deep knowledge of each and every remote corner of this impressive forest.
Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (co- founder of Big Shot Adventures) He belongs to a family that has been in the hospitality industry since 1984. After completing his masters in International Relations from JNU received a scholarship from the United Nations to pursue Hotel management In Sapienza University, Rome , italy. Post this he completed a course of Glass Blowing and set up a unit in Delhi. It was only after his father’s demise that he packed his bags and headed home to set up one of the most luxurious Resorts in The Jim Corbett zone. He passionately believes that bespoke holidays are made special by the people involved, the unique location of the Resort and personalized attention for each guest - it is with this ethos that Sanjeev and his dedicated team plan seamless holidays for discerning clients wanting something out of this world. His Motto has been to set up - A Parallel Universe For the Curious Traveller.
Dheeraj Singh (co-founder of Big Shot Adventures) was always destined for a prominent position in the safari trade. Born and brought up in Gurgaon, MBA in Business Development from England, Dheeraj left the city life and moved to Corbett to pursue his passion of wildlife photography. In his early years he volunteered with the Forest Department, thus, gaining intimate knowledge of the park’s flora and fauna and a conversation with Dheeraj is nothing less than entertaining and exciting, his enthusiasm is totally and utterly infectious. Dheeraj has spread his wings to lead exclusive private safaris across Corbett, Binsar, Pangot, Kumaon Hills and Dudhwa. In the process, he has developed close ties with a number of celebrated conservation charities and their field staff, as well as strong friendships within several Forest Staff – connections that add a compelling extra dimension to his safaris.
Ayaz Hakim (Head Naturalist with Big Shot Adventures) has a surprising number of strings to his bow. A respected conservationist, trained naturalist, he is at home running safaris in remote and rugged forests as he is leading long-distance birding expeditions. For visitors to Corbett National Park who truly hanker for a balanced blend of ‘flora and fauna’, there are few more qualified – or intrepid – hosts. Ayaz had few equals which has resulted in him becoming widely known as one of the best guides across Corbett.
